Sometimes, it can be challenging to locate relevant information within a Canvas course. Smart Search is a new feature that allows students and teachers to easily search within the course.
Do you want to find information about something specific? Smart Search can locate everything on pages, announcements, discussions, and assignments. It does not search files or external tools, nor does it suggest links to them. Canvas Smart Search is automatically enabled in every Canvas course as a separate menu option.
Teachers, please note: everything that is published in your Canvas course will be searched, even if you no longer link to it directly. Therefore, ensure that anything irrelevant in the course is unpublished.
