In her talk that takes place in the context of the MSc BA course Strategic Corporate Social Responsibility, Lara Wolters, born in Amsterdam, will focus on the new EU regulations to foster sustainability and competitiveness in Europe’s industry in order to meet global challenges such as climate change and inequality. Lara Wolters was heavily involved in the parliamentary negotiations leading to the creation of the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and will offer students first-hand insights into the motivation of the European Commission and Parliament to initiate the directive in the first place, and highlight implications for business firms.
