The Veni is a funding instrument from the NWO Talent Program. It gives newly promoted researchers the opportunity to further develop their ideas for three years. IXA-GO supports researchers applying to the VU through information sessions, review opportunities and, at a later stage, interview training.
The pre-application for the Veni application consists of an evidence-based narrative CV containing the sections: 'academic profile', ' key output' and a 'brief research idea'. The information session will cover several things:
- The veni procedure: eligibility, the different steps in the Veni procedure, choosing your NWO domain (this affects the process) and getting the right reviewers.
- Which elements are important for your academic profile.
- What you can list as key outputs.
- Q&A with IXA-GO grant advisors.
We have scheduled multiple dates of the same information session to accommodate as many people as possible. You only need to attend a session on one of these dates to get all the information. The live sessions are not hybrid but additional sessions can be scheduled if there is a need. The sessions will be held in English.
- Tuesday May 21 (live on campus, 15:00-17:00, Agora 2, HG)
- Wednesday, May 29 (live on campus, 15:00-17:00, Agora 2, HG)
- Thursday, May 30 (online via Microsoft Teams 15:00-17:00)
* Note: These information sessions are intended for all researchers with an appointment at VU or researchers where VU is the prospective host institution. Register now (for free) via the registration button.
**NWO itself is also organizing a hybrid information meeting soon on Friday, June 14, 2024. You can register for this on this page.
