Cooperation partnerships
Several European Higher Education Institutions work together to improve higher education in a country outside of Europe, for example in Asia, Latin America or Africa. The project has to contribute to modernisation, access and/or internationalisation of higher education in the involved country. Read more about this programme. The maximum subsidy for this programme is €1.000.000 for 48 months.
Capacity Building
Several European Higher Education Institutions work together to improve higher education in a country outside of Europe, for example in Asia, Latin America or Africa. Erasmus Mundus
A high level joint master programme between 4 to 6 universities from different countries. Erasmus Mundus is a programme of excellence; setting up such a programme is very intensive, coordinating with other institutions but also coordinating internally. Alliances for Innovation
Alliances for Innovation aim to boost Europe’s innovation capacity through stronger cooperation and knowledge flow among higher education, vocational education and training, businesses and the broader socio-economic environment, including research. There is Alliances for Education and Enterprises (Lot 1) and Alliances for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills (Lot 2). For Lot 1 the maximum amount is 1,5 million Euro (3 year project) and for Lot 2 the maximum is 4 million Euro (4 year project).
Jean Monnet
The Jean Monnet programme is named after one of the founding fathers of the EU. There are different Jean Monnet Actions, such as modules, chairs and Centres of Excellence, which should all contribute to spread knowledge about the EU integration matters. See the overview on this website. The maximum grant per project is as follows.
Module: €35.000
Chair: €60.000
Centre of Excellence: €100.000
