In the Digital Innovation Lab course of DBI Master’s programme students applied design thinking and agile working methods to work on 14 digital innovation challenges spanning areas such as the future of work, clean energy, and smart homes.
During the culminating event of the course, students showcased prototypes aimed at addressing real-life issues and enhancing client experiences for a range of companies including ABN, Fairphone, Heineken, ATAG-ASKO, Net2Grid, Vattenfall, GreatPlace2Work, Forpeople, Vandebron, and Trigion.
The event was attended by representatives from these companies and innovation experts, who judged the projects. Jorissa Neutelings, Chief Digital Officer at ABN AMRO, took the stage to announce the winners: Octoport, the intelligent AI assistant designed to navigate users through the information maze (Anastasia Dutova, Omaima Abdelrahman, Isabelle Tholen, Stephan van den Berg supported by Forpeople), and CQR, an innovative digital platform providing security and insurance services (Francesco Siciliano, David Dew, Dorsa Pourhassan, and Chadi Chakor supported by Trigion).
We would like to thank the course coordinator Lukas Falcke, and the track leads Roos Brekelmans and Laura Nino Caceres for their considerable efforts in course design, as well as to all students, coaches, and industry partners whose dedication made the event a success!
