“Strategic changes oftentimes require employees to create and maintain new work rhythms. The type of rhythm that is promoted or triggered by a change and the way people cope with it over time can significantly influence how changes are realized. With the potentially damaging consequences of intensive work rhythms on humans' lives and bodies, researchers and practitioners alike should become more aware of their work rhythms that function as the heartbeat of organizational activities.”
