The ELSA Lab Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Health Equity will generate knowledge to realise equitable access to healthcare using AI, and identify the barriers and opportunities in doing so. One problem with AI is that certain groups are underrepresented in datasets, which affects the application of AI in healthcare. The ELSA Lab AI for Health Equity aims to increase equity by providing a digital health infrastructure, thus deploying AI solutions to a wider group. In collaboration with all relevant stakeholders, including patient associations and health organisations, knowledge will be shared on a platform.
From VU Amsterdam, the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences and the Faculty of Science are involved in this ELSA Lab.
