The paper "Accelerating Laboratory Automation through Robot Skill Learning for Sample Scraping" was nominated as one of three final candidates for the Best Healthcare Automation Award at the IEEE CASE 2024 conference in Bari, Italy.
The paper was a collaboration between University of Liverpool and VU Amsterdam on the topic of robot manipulation for automating experiments in chemistry laboratories and was co-authored by Kevin Luck, Assistant Professor in the Computational Intelligence research group.
