Writing skills and AI: what have we learned so far?

Almost one year since ChatGPT was released to the public, AI tools are still providing unique challenges and opportunities in education. In recent months, Gea Dreschler, Abby Gambrel and Jens Branum have been looking into the role that AI tools can play in the teaching of academic writing, with a grant from the CTL BKO-SKO alumni fund. Here, we’d like to share four resources we’ve developed in the project that we hope are useful for any teacher looking for ways to deal with AI tools and writing assignments in their courses.
