On Saturday, August 5th, VU Pride, along with UvA, HvA, Inholland, and ROC Amsterdam, will participate in the Canal Parade during Pride Amsterdam. Under the banner of Pride University, the educational institutions will advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and inclusion within education during the Canal Parade in Amsterdam.
This year's Pride theme is '#YouAreIncluded,' which represents both individuals and groups fighting for equal rights. Visibility is crucial for this cause, and the numerous activities organized to bring people together play a significant role.
During the Prideweek preceding the Canal Parade, Pride University will host workshops, guest lectures, speed dates, and much more centered around the gender theme, in collaboration with The Social Hub Amsterdam City (formerly known as The Student Hotel).
