When asked, "Based on my experiences so far, I would choose this programme again", students) gave a 3.92 on a scale of 0 to 5. This indicates that students are generally satisfied to very satisfied with their study choice at VU Amsterdam. When asked whether students are satisfied with the atmosphere within the study programme, students also give an average of 3.99.
Over 23% of VU students participated in the NSE 2023. Rector Jeroen Geurts thanks the nearly 8,000 VU students who completed the survey: "As an educational institution, it is extremely important to keep developing yourself and to see where things can be improved. We have big ambitions and feedback from our students is therefore indispensable. We also like to take the results of the National Student Survey into account in our efforts to continuously raise the quality of education.''
NSE 2023: Student satisfaction at VU Amsterdam

On 31 May 2023, the results of the National Student Survey (NSE) were announced. The NSE's final 'overall rating' shows that students are satisfied with the quality of education at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam again this year. Students rate VU Amsterdam an average of 3.89 (out of 5). This puts the VU once again in third place of the broad universities. The highest ratings are given for involvement and contact, teachers on the course and content.
