Julia Schaumburg starts on the 1st of September as the new department head.
She succeeds André Lucas, who continues his research and teaching in the field of Econometrics.
Julia joined Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam 10 years ago as a postdoc in an EU research project. Over the years, she served as program coordinator and interim program director of the B.Sc. and M.Sc. Econometrics and Operations Research and as coordinator of the minor “Applied Econometrics”. As of September 1st, 2023, she was appointed Professor of Econometric Methods and Applications.
