VU-NT2 (Dutch as a second language) is responsible for the Dutch courses and modules within the Academic Language Programme. The focus on Dutch within higher education is increasing, partly due to the political and social debate. Annemarie Nuwenhoud is head of the VU-NT2 department. She talks about her personal experiences with learning languages and the expertise her department brings to the VU Language Policy, especially for academic Dutch.
