I look back on an interesting and dynamic period and I am proud of what we have achieved as an independent, journalistic platform of the VU Amsterdam. Over the past 20 years, the online landscape and the rules of the game have changed enormously. I have seen how we - as editors of Ad Valvas – have been able to respond to this. I thank all my colleagues for their cooperation and the great time I had with them.”

Robin Uitham has been appointed new editor-in-chief from 1 January 2024. Gijsbert Siertsema: “In Robin Uitham we have found a good successor for Marieke. Robin is an experienced, all-round journalist. She has previously worked for, among others, De Volkskrant, ANP and Intermediair, and for various other magazines and broadcasters. We warmly welcome Robin as the new editor-in-chief of Ad Valvas and wish her every success and pleasure in her new role.”
