On Friday, September 8th, Morocco was hit by a devastating earthquake. The images of the humanitarian disaster unfolding as a result of the earthquake deeply touch us and our community. Our thoughts are with all the victims of this enormous catastrophe.
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is providing support to our students and staff who have been affected by this disaster. On VU.nl, students and staff can find more information on where to seek assistance. On Monday, September 11th, we are organizing a walk-in gathering in 3D on our campus from 12:00 to 15:00 hours for anyone in need. You can find 3D on the campus at the campus square, on the right corner near the Spar supermarket.
Giro 6868
The Red Cross has opened giro 6868 for the victims of the earthquake in Morocco. The funds collected will go towards the relief efforts of the Moroccan Red Crescent, the sister organization of the Red Cross in Morocco.
