On 23 November VU Amsterdam celebrated its 143rd anniversary during the Dies Natalis. The theme of this celebration was the power of (hidden) networks. In his closing speech, Jeroen Geurts, Rector Magnificus and host of the Dies Natalis, emphasized the importance of solidarity in times of global turmoil.
