The students presented prototypes of the products to help ABN, Fairphone, Heineken, ATAG-ASKO, Net2Grid, Vattenfall, GreatPlace2Work, Certe Groep, Energyworx, Vandebron and Trigion solve real-life issues and improve their clients’ experience.
Students applied design thinking and agile working methods to collaborate with industry partners and develop digital innovations aimed at:
- smoothening the process of switching to a fair mobile phone, optimizing the renewable energy system, or reducing energy usage from home appliances;
- leveraging data for assessing fair and inclusive workplaces, enhancing privacy and data sovereignty in banking;
- optimizing monitoring and increasing customer engagement in the insurance, security, beverages, and retail sectors.
The event was attended by companies’ representatives and innovation experts, who judged the projects and selected two semi-finalists. Jorissa Neutelings, Chief Digital Officer at ABN AMRO, and Perry Koorevaar, Head of the Digital Innovation Lab at ABN AMRO, announced the winner: Sustainable Washing mobile application. The application aims to help ASKO washing machine owners reduce water and energy consumption.
We would like to thank Lukas Falcke, Roos Brekelmands, Dennis Kaltofen for putting in a tremendous amount of effort to design this course, as well as all the students, coaches and industry partners for their dedication that made this event possible!
Congratulations to the winning team!
