The Abel Prize is seen as the Nobel Prize of mathematics, so a special prize! This year's prize was won by Luis Caffarelli for his work on partial differential equations. On June 2, the Mathematics department is organizing an event for high school students and teachers about Caffarelli's discoveries. There are two workshops given by experts, a math quiz and prizes to win at the match quiz.
You can register until May 21 or read more about the event. It will be partly in Dutch, since it is targeted to high school students and their teachers.
