The workshop supports university teachers in integrating sustainability into their courses by guiding them in the process of identifying their driving values and what they stand for in society. Teachers make sense of how these values tie into the broader, global sustainability agenda and position their expertise and educational content in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Identifying a set of priority SDGs and articulating a personal (or team level) sustainability vision offers a direction for teachers when translating sustainability into the context of various educational topics. We conduct our workshops via participatory and deliberative techniques so that participants can co-create their sustainability education vision, practices and techniques together. Next year, in collaboration with Learn! Academy, SLH will develop an in-depth module of the SDG scan. This module will offer a comprehensive guidance in integrating sustainability into higher education courses, within a systems thinking paradigm.
