On September 1st, VU Amsterdam welcomed Open Science enthusiasts to the second edition of the National Open Science Festival.
On September 1st, VU Amsterdam welcomed Open Science enthusiasts to the second edition of the Around 300 participants attended the plenary sessions, led by rector magnificus Jeroen Geurts and VU library director Hilde van Wijngaarden. Another 400 persons joined in via live stream.
In 18 community led workshops and sessions attendees met and connected in, bringing the motto of the National Open Science Festival into practice: MEET, SHARE, INSPIRE & CARE. Minister Robbert Dijkgraaf of Education, Culture and Science joined the conversation and handed over Open Science Awards to five inspiring Use Cases with a focus on societal engagement.
