The webinar discussed the pros and cons of the increasing digitisation of data, and the security issues affecting migrants and the humanitarian sector. While technology, data and digitalisation were seen as niche categories of expertise, it was highlighted that the reality is that everyone uses these platforms and technologies in their daily lives. The discussion also explored what grassroots organisations and actors need to consider regarding the future trajectory of digitalisation in the humanitarian and migration space.
