Lisa-Marie Komp defends her PhD thesis

Lisa-Marie Komp has successfully defended her PhD entitled ‘Border Deaths at Sea under the Right to Life in the European Convention on Human Rights’.

Last October, Lisa-Marie defended her PhD thesis in a ceremony that took place entirely online due to the restrictions of Covid-19. She completed her PhD while working as a lawyer at Prakken d'Oliveira Human Rights Lawyers in Amsterdam. She was supervised by Thomas Spijkerboer together with Lieneke Slingenberg. The reading committee consisted of Hemme Battjes, Cathryn Costello, Thomas Gammeltoft-Hansen, Rick Lawson and Seline Trevisanut.
