How can art and science act as equal partners in inclusive knowledge production? and how can art contribute to an inclusive knowledge system? These are the central questions of The Future is Now symposium. A must visit to everyone interested in the role of art in scientific knowledge production.
The symposium – organized by the VU ART SCIENCE gallery, the VU Open Science Programme and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences – explores the possibilities for the collaboration of art and science in knowledge production through examples of (research)projects that center the polyphony of perspectives and voices, including local knowledge by combining art and science. On the day, we will share best practices and discuss potential challenges in collaboration. The symposium follows a practical approach and has the goal to bring people from different disciplines and sectors together and through this strengthen the existing network for inclusive knowledge production. With contributions by Hicham Khalidi, Judi Mesman and Meta Knol.
The full program will be released, and registrations will open later. Interested in joining? Keep an eye on this event page or subscribe to the VU ART SCIENCE gallery newsletter.
