Beyond Evangelical Americanism and Apolitical Evangelicalism

New political ethic needed for evangelicals in the US

Two extremes, political entanglement and political disengagement, have weakened the public witness of white American evangelicalism. This is shown in research by theologian Jon Huckins. He advocates a post-evangelical political ethic focused on justice, truth and responsibility.
