Then we invite you to join NATURELAB! Experience the restoring power of a group programme in local nature.
What is NATURELAB? An international research project into the effects of nature on wellbeing. Using different activities in nature (like gardening, movement, noticing, expressive arts) we explore what practices work best for whom. Every participant will be randomly allocated one of to two groups. Personal data will be kept anonymous; we take privacy very seriously and create a safe space together.
What you gain from participating:
This programme can help you become mentally stronger, experience less worries, increase your ability to concentrate, feel more energy and more connection to yourself, your neighbours and your local environment. You contribute to research and the development of a new therapy.
What we expect from you:
- You recognise yourself in the issues and wishes mentioned above
- You are 10 years or older
- You participate for 12 weeks (2 hours per week)
- You fill out a questionnaire 6 times and have your blood pressure measured
- You take care to create a safe space together with the group; sharing is allowed, not a must
- In need of extra support? Bring a friend or caregiver along
- Younger than 16? Permission of parent or caregiver is required
- You speak Dutch or English
Practical information:
- Location: Green locations in Amsterdam South-east (like Gardens of Brasa)
- Fixed day & time chosen in consultation with participants
- Childcare possible with educational activities
- Local public transportation expenses can be covered up to a specified amount
- Start programme: from May 2026 onwards, until groups are filled
