The eXtreme Citizen Science Hub Amsterdam was founded by Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, University of Amsterdam, University of Applied Sciences Amsterdam, Amsterdam UMC, Public Library Amsterdam, Waag Futurelab and the City of Amsterdam.
The hub focuses on strengthening citizen science in Amsterdam, with a special focus on sustainable and inclusive cities, health and well-being, and democratic and accessible technologies.
By connecting local initiatives, knowledge institutions and policy, the hub works to structurally embed citizen science in the city.
During the official kick-off in Amsterdam, the eXtreme Citizen Science Hub will be festively launched. Visitors will get a glimpse of current and future initiatives, meetings with researchers and partners, and space to contribute ideas.
