You will learn what to look for when searching for (academic) information online, how to assess the value of a source, and in what ways 'biases' can influence method and interpretations.
This beginner's course is a must for anyone without any knowledge of academic literature. Description: this is an entry-level workshop. A logical follow-up is Module 2, where you will learn to set up a search strategy.
You will learn to:
- make reasoned choices when searching for information;
- recognize the values of (academic) information;
- formulate an informed opinion about the accessibility of information to the public;
- think about how your own biases can influence method and interpretation
