Female Leadership: Shaping Your Career and Leadership 15 June 2026 - 28 October 2026

Share
Discover how to articulate your ambitions and strategically shape your career. The Women’s Leadership workshop at VU Amsterdam offers insights, tools, and inspiration to strengthen your leadership skills. Join us and take your next step.

You’re good at your job: you deliver results, take responsibility, and contribute to education, research, or operations. But how do you ensure your ambitions are recognized and take the next step in your career?

Especially for female VU employees (scale 11+), we offer a program that helps you steer your career and leadership. Through academic insights, practical exercises, and exchanges with other ambitious women, you’ll work on your personal development and translate your ambitions into concrete steps.

In two interactive workshops, you’ll tackle questions such as:

  • What do I want to achieve in the coming years?
  • What opportunities am I missing out on?
  • How do I make my ambitions visible?
  • What role do networks and unwritten rules play?
  • How can I manage my career more strategically?

What you’ll gain:

  • A clear view of your ambitions and possibilities
  • Insight into what accelerates or hinders your career
  • A concrete action plan for your next step
  • Greater visibility of your strengths
  • A valuable network of VU women

The program is led by Esther Mollema, an expert in leadership, inclusion, and career development with extensive experience in academia and at VU.

The workshop consists of two sessions: Tuesday, September 22 (9:00 AM–1:00 PM) and Tuesday, October 27, 2026 (1:00 PM–5:00 PM). The workshop will be conducted in Dutch. You can register via the Learning Management System. You excel at your job: you deliver results, take responsibility, and contribute to education, research, or operations.
