AI offers opportunities. At the same time it raises questions. That is why it is important that we share knowledge and experiences with each other.
The Dutch AI Week (DAIW) is an initiative that brings together people from different worlds: entrepreneurs, government, science, and citizens. By meeting one another, seeing examples, and engaging in conversation, we discover how to use AI responsibly. The week is open to residents, entrepreneurs, governments, education, and science, and to anyone curious about the possibilities and questions surrounding AI. All events are free of charge.
The Dutch AI Week puts people at the center of technology. Rather than treating AI as an end in itself, it shows how knowledge and responsible use can contribute to three key areas: prosperity, through new opportunities for work, organizations, and the economy; well-being, through applications that can improve people’s lives; and sustainability, through smart ideas for tomorrow’s challenges.
AI in Society
AI plays an increasingly important role in our daily lives. What does it offer us, what questions and risks does it raise, and what do we want to leave to technology? In a public lecture on Saturday 21 November, Felienne Hermans, professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and teacher, takes you into the world of AI in clear, accessible language.
AI and Digital Twin
How can the public sector make the most of AI and digital twins? On Wednesday 25 November, this event shows how to move from experimenting to applying. Experts from science and practice share their insights and examples, and in interactive workshops you will explore how AI, data, and digital twins can help address concrete issues. A chance to gain new ideas, exchange experiences, and meet others working on the same challenges.
AI in AgriFood
From smarter breeding and more sustainable cultivation to more efficient production, how do you turn the possibilities of AI into valuable applications? On Thursday 26 November, experts from science and business share their insights and practical examples, and in interactive workshops you will discover how AI, data, and satellite data can contribute to concrete issues in AgriFood.
AI in Education
How can you use AI to create something good for the world around you? On Friday 27 November, students explore the possibilities of AI, with creativity and collaboration at the center and full attention to safe and responsible use.
The Dutch AI Week is made possible by Data Science Alkmaar and its partners: Gemeente Alkmaar, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Provincie Noord-Holland, ONHN (Ontwikkelingsbedrijf Noord-Holland Noord), Google, EDIH Digital Hub Noordwest, and the LIFE Programme.
