We invite you to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the VU ART SCIENCE gallery with us. To mark this milestone, we will launch a publication that reflects on past and future practices of the gallery, and we will open the new exhibition The Future is Now.
Publication
During this event, we will launch our publication titled The Future is Now, that was created for the gallery's fifth anniversary. The publication features interviews with people that have been involved with the gallery over the past five years and reflects on past and future practices of the gallery. The publication is written by Loes van Beuningen and is designed by Eva van der Schans from Inedition.
The exhibition
During the event, you will also have time to visit the new The Future is Now exhibition. The exhibition explores how we can integrate diverse voices, experiences, and local perspectives into societal knowledge. Democratic truth-finding is under pressure from autocratic regimes and AI. Now, more than ever, we must fight for inclusive knowledge that represents society as a whole. The exhibition features works by Anna Hoetjes, melanie bonajo, Maria Pask, and patricia kaersenhout.
