During this week, extra attention is paid to people with autism and various activities take place. A break from notifications, a cup of tea or recharging while exercising? Rest is different for everyone. But for people with autism, rest is crucial. In a world that is always 'on', a place to catch your breath does wonders. Being able to choose your own pace, without the rush of everyday life, is also essential. For autistic people, this can make the difference between being able to participate or not.
The network for neurodivergent VU staff (such as with autism, ADHD, epilepsy) Univers and the Netherlands Autism Registry will be in the hall of the NU building. They will give info, tell you what autism and neurodivergence can mean in combination with studying and work. Where to go if you encounter obstacles and where to meet compatriots. And there will be a silent disco! So you can all experience in your own way what stimuli do to you. Come all!
Location: NU building hall
