Alumni Meeting Sociology 19 March 2026 14:30 - 19:00

Share
We would like to invite you to the second sociology alumni meeting on Thursday afternoon, March 19. Come back to the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, meet fellow professionals and former fellow students, and delve into a topical theme.

The theme is Generatiestressszzz in a hyper-nervous society. Reason is the growing unrest in the world and the recent RVS advice 'Op de Rem!' This advice advocates Connection and Delay, which we will discuss from the sociological point of view with attention to young and older generations.

What to expect
Stimulating contributions from Ympkje Albeda (RVS) and Evelyn Vlasman (Trimbos Institute), a panel discussion and a networking reception with hot meal and Meet & Greet for students and alumni.

About the speakers
Ympkje Albeda is a sociologist and policy advisor to the Council for Public Health & Society (RVS) and compiler of the advisory. She will explain the reason, design and content of the advice.

Evelyn Vlasman is project leader at Institute Trimbos of, among other things, the Living Lab for Student Welfare, which is carried out together with schools. She will give examples of how you can promote student welfare project-wise and what the role of institutions can be in this.
