Feel like reading? Research from the VU Reading Promotion Lab

The Reading Promotion Lab at VU University studies the development of children's development in reading proficiency, behavior, and motivation across the school years. We focus on the role of the home and school environment in this development and often collaborate with societal partners to examine how reading development can be effectively supported. Specific themes within the lab's research are the relationship between reading development and second language learning, and the challenges and promises of digital reading. In my talk, I will give an overview of recent studies targeting these themes.
