Unlock the secrets to securing an ERC Starting or Consolidator Grant and join this information session provided by RVO.

On Monday March 3, IXA-GO, VU Grants Office and RVO (the Netherlands Enterprise Agency) are organising a general information session on the ERC Starting Grant & Consolidator Grant for the round of 2026.

ERC grants are funded by the European Commission and intended to support projects that push the frontiers of human knowledge. Researchers of any nationality and any scientific domain are eligible, as long as they work in Europe or are willing to move from other parts of the world to do so.

In preparation for the upcoming 2026 ERC Grant applications, the National Contact Point of the Netherlands (RVO) will present an information session for potential VU applicants, with a main focus on the Starting and Consolidator Grant. This session will take place on Monday March 3 at the VU campus (Agora 1).

ERC Starting Grant

For researchers with 2-7 years of experience since completion of PhD

Expected deadline: 10-2025

ERC Consolidator Grant

For researchers with 7-12 years of experience since completion of PhD

Expected deadline: 1-2026

This information session is open to everyone working at the VU as a researcher. Registration is mandatory.

Esther Verhoeven is an advisor for the European Research Council (ERC) of the Horizon Europe programme. She support scientists from all research fields with their ERC application. She does this by answering questions, brainstorming on project ideas and giving feedback on draft proposals. Ans she also provides workshops and training courses.
