Anthropocene Navigators: Rethinking, co-creation & education 10 April 2025 15:30 - 17:00

Share
Join us for the second meeting of the Anthropocene Navigators community! This session will revolve around the themes of Anthropocene theory, rethinking, co-creation & education, with expert contributions from Mathieu Blondeel, Sjoerd Kluiving, Renée Hartog, Thomas Meier & Guido van Koningsbruggen.

The keynote address by Sjoerd Kluiving will offer a review of overarching disciplines and research addressing planetary boundaries and social and humanitarian crises. Afterwards, two parallel workshops will take place, both of which are reprises from the 30th of January conference:

Post-Anthropocene Futures
by Thomas Meier (University of Heidelberg)
This workshop is an invitation to rethink global trajectories and governance frameworks, moving beyond the constraints of a deteriorating capitalist world towards imaginative, sustainable futures.

Together connecting to the rhizome to address questions of Governance for Society
by Renee Hartog (VU)
This workshop empowers participants to co-create solutions that balance individual freedom and collective interests, providing tools for convivial citizenship and resilient urban design.

In the Campus Online environment of the Anthropocene Navigators, you find the link to follow the meeting online or to rewatch it, as well as information of the previous sessions and materials shared. You log in with your VU credentials automatically.

This event is organised by and for the Anthropocene Navigators community. This community was born out of the conference "Shared Pathways to a Sustainable and Just Future: Navigating the Anthropocene" with a goal of maintaining the community, research spirit, and interaction of the diverse conference themes. Join us to enter the conversation about the Anthropocene. Interested in joining other events of the Anthropocene Navigators? Have a look at the other upcoming events, you find them here.
