Ageing, endings and exits: perspectives from a retiring feminist practical theologian
At a time when people in Europe and the West are living longer and working later in life, Professor of Feminist Practical Theology Nicola Slee will reflect on how we age well and make good decisions about when and how we end our working lives.
Slee will explore attitudes to work and so-called retirement. In particular, she will consider a positive approach to the ageing of women in church and society, against the background of negative images such as the witch, hag and crone.
