Training Vitality and the menopause 2024-2 5 December 2024 09:30 - 12:00

This training pays attention to health, nutrition, lifestyle, stress and rest and relaxation.

There are currently around 2 million working 40+ women in the Netherlands. Never before have so many women of ‘transition age’ been active in the labour market. 80% state that they experience symptoms from menopause. The menopause is an important and often undiscussed topic in society and consequently also at work. Commonly unknown complaints include palpitations, migraines, joint complaints, mood complaints, poor sleep, fatigue and concentration problems. Research also shows that due to lack of knowledge and shame, women do not talk to HR professionals and/or managers about menopause symptoms. This can lead to lower productivity, reduced job satisfaction and absenteeism among this group of women.

It is well known that (transition) hormones can have a lot of impact on mood, work and vitality. We think it is important to pay attention to this as an organisation and ensure greater knowledge and understanding and have an eye for women at all stages of life. We organise a training course that covers health, nutrition, lifestyle, stress, rest and relaxation in addition to knowledge about how hormones work.
