This Meet-Up is a collaboration between students of the Master's Metropolitan Analysis, Design and Engineering, and the Mindful Library.
During this workshop, we will challenge you to think differently about time, space, and stress. How can we create urban spaces that encourage relaxation and mindfulness? How can we design a future where slowing down becomes second nature?
First, we will explore the ‘slow space’ that follows the design principles of slow urbanism. This immersive, audiovisual environment will nudge you to slow down and reflect on how the physical city can reduce stress and encourage relaxation.
Afterwards, we’ll switch to a creative, hands-on session where you’ll apply what you’ve learned to design the ‘slow space’ of the future. Using Slow Living principles, you’ll reimagine public spaces that can help reduce stress and make room for calm in our fast cities.
This workshop is for students who feel the pressure of fast-paced city life and are curious about urban challenges. Whether you study social sciences, humanities, or design, join us to explore how cities shape our well-being and how we can link human experiences with urban design. We welcome diverse perspectives!
