Always wondered why people fast during Ramadan? Or what fasting means for other people's spiritual life? Or how people fast?Come to the Westerkerk on March 27 and find out! The evening will start at the Westerkerk, where we will engage in dialogue about each other's fasting practices. Why do we fast during Ramadan and Lent? How do we do that? What does it bring to your spiritual life? Are there any differences or similarities between the Islamic and the Christian way of fasting?
After this dialogue, we will move to the Fatih Mosque to have the Iftar together. Here, some more people will join; the members of the interreligious dialogue group in Amsterdam, of which the Fatih Mosque is a part.
