Originally, the library was the place to find and quietly study literature. Over the past 140 years, the daily practice of the library has changed enormously. The records, photos and old-fashioned devices in the exhibition tell anecdotes about how things used to be. For example, the donation of the first book was accompanied by an eight-page article defending that the book should be accepted. A print shows how the library was bursting at the seams in the 1960s. Old card index sheets show how to search for a publication up to 30 years ago.
