Sometimes it is hard to not become overwhelmed with the climate crisis, or any other global crisis - there's enough of them. That's why the IVM and NEWConnective have organised a gathering to think about how to remain hopeful and resilient during these mind-boggling times.
Emily Ragus, our speaker, will share her experience in disaster areas, and her PhD work on humanitarian work and environmental disasters. With her art-based research approach, she will guide us through her strategies of perseverance and hope. After Emily's presentation, we will engage in conversation with each other; where do we find hope and courage? How can we stay idealists?
The program of the afternoon will be as follows:
14:30-14:40: Introduction by NEWConnective and IVM
14:40-15:15: Speaker: Emily Ragus
15:15-16:00: Conversation in smaller groups
16:00-16:30: Plenary discussion about group conversations
16:30: End program
From 16:30: Drinks with GeoVUsie in the Houtzagerij (WN-M138).
Let's turn anxiety into action and cultivate hope for a brighter, sustainable future together. Don't miss out; sign up now!
