We are happy to invite you to the ABRI Lunch Seminar The role of technology in organizational inertia - a practice-theoretical perspective by prof. Birgit Renzl (University of Stuttgart School of Management, Germany) organized by ABRI and the KIN Center for Digital Innovation.

The seminar will take place on Tuesday, April 2nd, from 12:00 to 13:00 (NU-6A52). You can find more information below.

Short Biography Birgit Renzl

Birgit Renzl is Full Professor and Chair of Management and Organization at the University of Stuttgart School of Management, Germany. Her research focuses on organizing and strategic change processes, with a particular focus on emerging technologies and routines. She is committed to the scientific community like the Strategizing Activities and Practices Interest Group (SAP) at the Academy of Management, equally dedicated to fostering the dialogue between academia and practice, and contributes to various associations like Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft für Betriebswirtschaft e.V. Her work has been published in academic journals such as Management Learning, Omega - The International Journal of Management Science, Journal of Economic Psychology, and Strategic Organization. 

Birgit Renzl studied International Business Studies at the University of Innsbruck, Austria and at the University of Göteborg, Sweden. She gained practical experience in strategy consulting at Innovative Management Partner in Innsbruck before dedicating a decade to research at the Department of Management under Hans H. Hinterhuber at the University of Innsbruck. She earned her doctorate in 2002 and qualified as a professor in 2006. She further enriched her expertise as researcher in residence with Hari Tsoukas at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK and with Georg van Krogh at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. In 2009 she was appointed Professor of Strategy & Organization and Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at the Privatuniversität Schloss Seeburg in Salzburg. After contributing significantly to the development of the newly established private university, she accepted the appointment as full professor and Chair of Management and Organization at the University of Stuttgart School of Management.
