In light of the 75th anniversary of the School of Business and Economics (SBE), we are presented with a unique opportunity to nominate a candidate for an honorary doctorate this year. We are honored to offer it to Tima Bansal, a Professor of Sustainability and Strategy from Ivey Business School in Canada. Her outstanding research in sustainability strategies and collaborative research strongly resonates with the SBE mission of doing science with purpose.
To celebrate Professor Bansal's remarkable contribution to science in society, we are organizing a symposium on collaborative research for societal challenges. This symposium will take place on the morning of Dies (November 23rd, from 10.00 to 12.00 at Agora 1). In order to truly make in business and society, we need to actively engage in research collaboration with practitioners and society at large. At this event, we want to share inspiring examples of the various ways in which such collaboration can take place and discuss challenges and opportunities with a diverse panel of scholars and other experts.
Please let us know about inspiring initiatives of collaborations with the world of practice taking place in your group, and who could showcase them at this event (with a short presentation and participation in the panel). It would be great to have a varied set of initiatives and panel members, from across our business and economics departments.
Please respond to Hans Berends or Christine Moser, who are part of the organizing committee.
