Boat Tour: The Subjective Atlas of Amsterdam 7 December 2023 19:45 - 21:30

Share
Join us for a captivating evening boat tour inspired by ‘The Subjective Atlas of Amsterdam’. This unique atlas portrays Amsterdam as seen through the eyes of its residents. Many who call Amsterdam home, particularly those most often pushed to the margins, have translated their experiences into drawings, graphics and maps.

During this boat tour, we invite you to explore the city and experience Amsterdam from a perspective you may not have encountered before, yet these perspectives could easily belong to your neighbors.

‘The Subjective Atlas of Amsterdam’ is a publication initiated by the Architecture Centre of Amsterdam (Arcam). This book delves into multiple realities and offers insights on how to transform our city into a better place for everyone. To ensure a harmonious blend of education and entertainment, we are thrilled to introduce our tour guides, comedian Luuk van der Vaart and the curator of maps and atlases at VU, Reinout Klaarenbeek. They will regale you with fascinating anecdotes and fun facts, and share the most intriguing aspects of the city's history.
