This course will bring international and Dutch colleagues closer together. Participants will frequently have the chance to put what they have learned to use in their daily lives. The course will introduce participants to Dutch customs, norms and values in a playful, informal way. Topics include introducing yourself, asking for directions and talking about food and drink, the weather, the neighbourhood, sports, social life, the weekend, holidays and, of course, water cooler chat.
Reviews from participants
“Through this course, I learned vocabulary that I can use in everyday life in the Netherlands. In different ways, for instance, doing groceries, asking for direction, time and most importantly being able to decipher email correspondences in Dutch.”
“I would definitely recommend the course to other colleagues and acquaintances. The course is pleasantly dispensed in an interactive way that helps with pronunciation and enrich the vocabulary.”
“I have attended a few of the lessons and my experience is very positive. Although I have some knowledge of Dutch language, I still found the lessons super helpful. Especially because there is a lot of accent on how people actually talk in daily life situations, and how to pronounce different sounds. And of course the social aspect of meeting colleagues is ‘extra-gezellig’!“
