If you are not yet familiar with the VU organization and its many abbreviations, your first year in the OLC can be quite confusing. Through this training series from the VU Centre for Teaching and Learning, the most important responsibilities, rights, and processes are explained so that you can perform this function in the best possible way.
In the first training course Introduction to the Programme Committee, you will learn about the position of the programme committee under the law and how it fits into the VU administrative structure. How can you operate efficiently and effectively as an OLC? Who are your partners?
An important part of the work of the programme committee is advising on the Teaching and Exam Regulation (TER/OER) this is what the second training All about the TER/OER is about. The third training, Annual Report Workshop is about the annual report of the OLC. By the end of this workshop, you will have outlined the annual report of your OLC.
The full range of training materials, as well as the latest updates on training and offerings, can be found on the dedicated Canvas module for training committees.
For whom?
This training is intended for student and teacher members of programme committees. You will get the most out of it if this is the first year of your membership, but you are also welcome if you have been an OLC member for some time.

Professionalisation Training for Programme Committees
The programme committee (OLC) is a special participation body because students and lecturers sit on it together. The rights and duties of the OLC are prescribed in the “Wet op het Hoger Onderwijs en Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek” (WHW) and further detailed in the VU Faculty Participation Regulations.
