Scientific Communication 1st YEAR

After this course, the student will be able to communicate scientific results in an effective way to colleagues and laymen.

Course Description

Various aspects of scientific communication will be treated. The first aspect is the visualisation of data: creating figures for papers, posters, and slides. The writing of specific sections of a paper (title, abstract, introduction, and results), as well as general aspects of paper writing (shaping paragraphs, active/passive writing, building a story), will be practiced. Intermixed with this communication to scientists, we will practice layman communication. Correct use of English language is not part of the course.
