Provide an advanced course on the neuropathological, cognitive and behavioural consequences of aging and age- related neurodegenerative diseases, in particular dementia.

Course Description

The clinical course of aging and dementia will be related to neuropathological characteristics and specific functional neuronal circuits. The clinical course will be explained in terms of cognitive, behavioral and functional outcomes, for the various subtypes of dementia. Specific attention will be given to the concept of preclinical disease and the earliest clinical symptoms in dementia.
