Tijdens deze bijeenk omst zal Professor van Zeben een lezing geven aan onderzoekers van A4 CL. Zij werkt als hoogleraar bij the Florence School of Transnational Governance en is daarnaast editor-in-chief van Transnational En vironmental Law.
Professor van Zeben’s researc h focuses on the regulation of transnational issues by public and pri vate actors across jurisdictions, with particular attention to polyce ntric governance theory and developments related to the European Unio n. Her work on the EU as a polycentric system exemplifies this line o f her research. The other main lines of her research speak to environ mental problems, which are often intrinsically transnational. This re search includes work on (the interactions between) climate change, bi odiversity, agriculture and pollution, specifically pollution caused by so-called ‘forever chemicals’ such as PFAS.
