Like father, like son. Fifty years ago, professor Fritz Bickelhaupt was interviewed in the scientific magazine C2W Mens & Molecule . On March 10, the same magazine published an interview with his son Matthias Bickelhaupt, professor of Theoretical Chemistry at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU).
In the interview, Matthias looks back on his career, some of his statements are highlighted, and he explains how he dissects the elusive and complicated field of quantum chemistry. "That doesn't come naturally; it's hard to get to something easy," he says.
